Just my opinion:Google is a great supplement to "real" databases. Depends on what you are looking for, but a google search can sometimes be a good starting place, or a good place for confirmation of research already collected.
While I have used other general search engines, like most, I'm just used to Google so that's what I only use. I suppose using more than one general search engine would contribute to the comprehensiveness of your searching.
I only use popular browsers-IE and Firefox. If Chrome ever becomes popular I will then use it.
